Improving How We Deliver Care at San Joaquin Community Hospital

San Joaquin Community Hospital is improving care delivery by reducing the amount of time a patient stays in the hospital. Every unnecessary day a patient stays in the hospital may cost an extra 10,000 to 15,000 dollars, take up beds other patients need and increase the risk for infection.

San Joaquin is always at over 80% to 90% occupancy, and the most common thing we hear patients say in the hospital is “I want to go home.”
